About

bio

Kacie Swierk is a pianist, composer, and songwriter based just outside of Chicago. Though she studied music at Indiana University, she has increasingly found more freedom and growth outside the academic space, and has spent the last several years in trial and error – exploring different tones and colors, and continuing to find personally unique and true ways of expression through sound and story.

Aside from solo work, she founded an artist collective called Albion West. Together with Jeremiah de la Peña (drums/percussion) and Marissa Weston (violin), their goal is to blend the traditions of folk, jazz, and classical music to tell stories that speak to and from the heart.

In addition to collaborations and solo work, Kacie also runs a private teaching studio. Working with students of all ages and various levels, her goal is to intertwine the ideas of theory, technique, and repertoire with the expression of self.
