About

bio

Kacie Swierk is a pianist, composer, and songwriter based just outside of Chicago. Since graduating with a music degree from Indiana University, she has enjoyed exploring various facets of the music world in “real life”. From compositional projects to studio work to live performances and teaching, she continues to seek personally unique and true ways of expression through sound and story.

Aside from solo work, she founded an artist collective called Albion West. Together with Jeremiah de la Peña (drums/percussion) and Marissa Weston (violin), their goal is to blend the traditions of folk, jazz, and classical music to tell stories that speak to and from the heart.

In addition to collaborations and solo work, Kacie also runs a private teaching studio. Working with students of all ages and various levels, her goal is to intertwine the ideas of theory, technique, and repertoire with the expression of self.
